Wow! Just wow! The official launch of Dark Nights into Brighter Days in Worcester was simply incredible. Even writing this blog post the day after, I’m still buzzing!
The launch, which took place at the intimate Paradiddles Music Bar in Worcester, was a night I’ll never forget. Alongside performances from left to right, Fay Whitfield, Mel Woodend, Lucy Graham, and Charley Barnes, I was proud and honoured to share the launch with such incredible performers in front of an energetic and supportive audience. Even the Mayor of Worcester shared some poems of his own!
I was touched by the audience’s enthusiasm and the performances were just incredible. Each poet used the theme of mental health awareness in their sets, which is what Dark Nights into Brighter Days aims to promote, and it was wonderful to hear how passionate they were in their work.
I cannot say thank you enough to the performers, the audience, and to Paradiddles for helping make the night so special. This has been the biggest moment of my writing career to date, and there are still the launches in Leicestershire and Coventry to come!
